RESEARCH

Thank you for visiting the Dalhousie University College of Pharmacy website and for your interest in our research. Research is one of the core three functions of Dalhousie University and is mentioned in the mission statement of the College of Pharmacy, signifying its importance to our organization. Our faculty, staff and students are involved in a wide range of research from the basic pharmaceutical sciences to clinical research to outcomes and policy research. Our faculty have been very successful in recent years in obtaining research grants and contracts and in knowledge transfer and translation activities to help to improve the medication-use system and the profession of pharmacy.

I would encourage you to visit the websites of our faculty members, our graduate program, and the IMPART research initiative to learn more about our research activities.  Please note that if you are interested in applying to our BSc (Pharmacy) program which leads to a career as a pharmacist, you should contact Margaret Hoyle at pharmadm@dal.ca.  Also, the graduate program is only open to students who have completed a Bachelor of Science degree.  If you are interested in working with or completing graduate studies with a specific faculty member, you can contact him or her directly using the contact information provided on this website.
